Bonnie ate a treat from my hand just now! biggrin.gif She has absolutely refused to touch food I was holding up until tonight. I got a piece of lettuce -- she loves lettuce -- and it was a big enough piece I could hold one end and put the other end near her without having my hand REAL close to her but she definitely knew I was holding it. It took several moments of me holding perfectly still (while Clyde climbed on the outside of her cage and stole some of her millet, the stinker) and she finally took a teeny bite. When nothing awful happened as a result, she took another teeny bite and another, and another ... I was so pleased! I was reading about hand-taming on a budgie site and that's one of the things they suggested and I've tried it before with millet and sunflower seeds and she wouldn't touch either of those. And I know how she loves millet, but that was a couple of weeks ago. This is a VERY slow process.

Good job Bonnie. I understand the whole slow process thing. Quakerquaker has been quite the handful....course I've only had him for two weeks though.

Great progress! Bonnie is getting the hang of things. Please make sure not to feed her iceberg lettuce since it's devoid of nutrients.

Thats great news.
Give her time, dont rush her.
She will improve in leaps and bounds as her confidence/trust grows.

Tricia.
