I havent updated on Odie in quite some time. Some may be interested. He is doing soooo good. I would never have known anything had happened to him. Thank the Lord and all you prayers. He has pretty much completed a really heavy molt. Dont know if some of it was brought on by possible stress and all the meds and sauves. He hasnt taken a notion to fly yet though to let me know for certain that there are no flight prob. The wing wasnt really involved in the trauma but certainly the muscles down that side were. He is completely healed but those muscles may need strengtening which wont occur without wing flapping. He is back to being as ornery as ever. Does my heart good since I felt soo bad that it was all my fault. Anyway, he has been in his own cage for quite awhile and has no probs navigating around. Thanks again everyone. I was so thankful I had all of you to talk to.

I have been wondering how Odie was doing. It's great that he survived his ordeal and thrilling that he is doing so well. If he never flies again, he is so blessed just to be alive. Thank God, it didn't go the other way.
Hang in there Odie!!!! Be blessed!!!! wub.gif

Kate,
I'm not sure what happend with Odie, but sounds like he's doing much better now. Thank goodness!!! I wish I were able to get on the boards more often. Tobias has been keeping me very busy with his pickiness and what not and worrying about him. I can't wait to get his play room finished so he can have some peace. He's having a real issue with the other birds flying around him and it makes him pull out his feathers. Because he chewed up all his flight feathers he feels overwhelmed by them I"m noticing. poor boy. My other choice is to get everyone in the house clipped, but then I'm having visions of 14 depressed birds which might be even worse. LOL

On July 7 my dog got ahold of Odie. It was all my fault. If I knew how to post where to go to to read I would, but sadly I dont. Anyway he is all good now. Feathers even came all back in. He is my Green cheek conure.
