I just had to share this amazing story with ya all and some might think I am crazy but this really happened.

My Dad has been having several health issues as some of you might remember he had 4 way bypass last Nov. and in the past couple of months he has had a couple blood tranfusions, surgery on Friday and a big surgery yesterday. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer and they went in to remove a tumor which turned into 2 tumors and they had to cut out a piece of his colon.

Well my one dog Sporty,a chihuahua, has always been attatched to my Dad since he was a baby, started acted strange about 10:10am. He would not eat, pee, nothing just stand and tremble. I covered him up, I held him, I done eevrything I could think of and he would just shake. This continued on all day. My hubby came home early to be with me while waiting on news about my father. (I am stuck about 2 hours away because I have a chest cold and they won't let me near him). Well about 10 minutes till 6:00pm he started to run, jump, eat, wag his tail and act normal again about 10 minutes after that the phone arang and it was my brother saying Daddy was out of surgery.

I find this so ironic that this happened as last year when he had his heart surgery he acted the same way. I told my Mom the story and the times are about the time they took him into surgery and when he came out of surgery.

I just had to share this with you all and sorry its so long but thanks for reading it.

Please keep my father in your thoughts and prayers as it is a very rough time for our family right now. it has been one thing or another for a year now with his health.

I truly believe that dogs /animals in general can sense far more than we give them credit for. Therapy dogs for instance can alert people before siezures or heart problems etc. So if you pooch is in tune with your dad I see no reason that he couldn't sense something was up...he may have been picking up on your vibes as well.

Sending healing thoughts your way for your dad.

Oh sweetie, I don't find that odd at all. I know that dogs just know things like that.
My grandfateher had a dog that did the same way when he was sick a couple of times. Then later, when he passed, the dog laid down beside his bed and refused to move, wouldn't eat or even get up for anything, wouldn't let anyone get him up and laid there til he too, died.
It was so sad, but Brownie wouldn't let anyone touch him as he lay dying. He snapped and growled every time anyone tried. He just willed himself to die. I guess he knew he just couldn't live without my grandfather.
Yout dad is in my prayers. I pray for a quick recovery. Colon cancer can be dealt with very effectively.wub.gif
