Seymours Flock
Seymour has settled in quite nicely in our home over the past couple of months. He's certainly one of the family and fits in great. I work full time, but Mom is home most of the day with the 4 dogs and 2 other birds. Our dogs tend to bark at everything they hear and see, and some days are much worse than others.

One evening, I was sitting and relaxing after work when Seymour decided to share what he has been learning. As loudly as he possibly could, he was screaming Right Now! Right Now! Right Now! Right Now! non-stop in a manic way. I looked at my mother in a suspicious manner dry.gif and all she could do was laugh and say "He's been hearing that a lot this week". When the dogs are at their worst, you will hear her say "Stop that, Right Now!". Well, it's quickly becoming one of Seymours favorite sayings, and every time he does it, the look on my mothers face is priceless! laugh.gif

Gotta love the little guy!

ROFL!! They pick up the things you don't teach them the quickest!! My CAG Rocky starts when the birds get loud and says "Hush! Stop! You wanna go nite-nite!" *blushing*

My QP Strewth began talking quite young & I was always pleasantly surprised when he spoke a new word or moreso - phrase...

Early on, he learnt to recite his name, breed & phone number in a classic american accent.
He would say ...
"Hello, my name is Strewth & I am a Quaker... If lost - please call 0409 __-__-__... Thankyou"
& then he would chuckle~!
Other times he would be a smarty pants & say "My name is Strewth & I am a Q-Q- Quaker... hehehehehehe!"

It was awesome. Ne never ceased to amaze me. rolleyes.gif
I would never have believed that a bird could have such an awesome sense of humour, had I've not experienced this for myself.

When he would start chuckling - it was absolutely hilarious as my husband says he sounded just like me.
Strewth would throw his head back & laugh hysterically... What a character~!

When the other birds were flapping around in their cage next door - he would say "It's OK - guyyyyyyyys -- It's OK" & probably the one I miss the most is the
"Night Night Darling" that I would get each night when we put the light out...

last weekend ian came down with the cat in his arms. when he walked into the room from behind louie's perch, louie said, "peek a boo!" to him. all on his own. wub.gif

he's not scolded anyone *yet*, but one time goof was on the floor and wouldn't step up for ian. louie was on his stand on the other side of the room saying, "step up. step up. good boooooy!" meanwhile, goof was definitely NOT stepping up lol.

last night we were watching a monty python movie, and louie was just laughing his little butt off. could be coincedence, but i have to wonder if they really find things funny. like how he would laugh at just the right time when my baseball team would screw up.
