I bought Bonnie a swing today. We have one that Clyde rejected but it's far too big for her or her cage, so I got her a Bonnie-sized swing and the MOMENT I finished hanging it and got my hands out of the way, she hopped right up on it and of course the motion of her hopping on it made it rock and roll wildly, and she just sat there swinging away, then when it slowed down, she hopped off onto another perch, turned around and hopped back on so it would go crazy again. I thought this was perhaps accidental, but no, when it slowed the second time, she did it again! laugh.gif Mind you, she came out of a bin o' budgies at Petsmart and they did NOT have a swing, so how did she know what to do? She's a genius. Not only that, I can't imagine His Royal Quakerness immediately taking to a new toy like that. tongue.gif We all know how green chickens are very, very suspicious of anything new and they're sure it's evil and will eat them. Bonnie loves new things and will play with a new toy immediately and get a big kick out of it. AND she sat on Hubby's hand (inside her cage -- she won't come out yet) for a whole two or three seconds! We've had a very big budgie day.

My budgies get high off of ringing bells. Each one has a specific way they ring the bells, and I honestly think they all have their own independence. They treat each other like neighbors and not roommates. They're weird, but you know how it is lol!

My tiel, Casper is totally blind, but knows where his swing is and loves it. It scares him when he touches a toy or anything he is not already familiar with, but he adores swinging. Usually when he swings, he talks.
