I meant to ask in my post if he is an attention hog-- my gcc definitely IS, big time- and he can't ever (well, rarely) just sit quietly with me. He's always into EVERYthing. I am SOOOOOOO glad the gcc and quaker are such good buddies cuz Squirt (gcc) would drive me insane if he insisted on being with me all the time. It's exhausting to try to keep up with him!
So.... since a caique is a fancy-looking gcc on crack then it's probably best that I just visit and not bring one home
I'll just keep looking at Pogo's pics and videos for my caique fixes

Oh yeah...he will not leave me and hubby alone for a second if he's out, and if he's not out, then he's complaining loudly about it!! Unfortunately, our qp wants nothing to do with him, and I was advised from the beginning not to allow them to play together due to the fact that a caique is so much rougher than a qp. Simon HATES him, and poor Pogo just wants to play with him so badly he can hardly stand it. The worst thing is that we cannot even have them both out together in the same room because even though Pogo is clipped, he can still glide far enough to get to Simon from almost anywhere. LOL..he really is like a bird on crack sometimes. Even my dogs are terrified of him, and he chases them all the time. They won't even come near me if he is in site because he will swoop right down on them and "ride" them until I remove him. One day he got on our female (they are pomeranians) and rode her all the way under the bed before I caught her. He was still happily sitting on her back under the bed!

He'd just as soon be on the floor as anywhere, so we can't leave him unsupervised out of cage for a single minute.
I got an email about a local bird shop having a great sale today, and they had the cutest turquoise sided gcc I've ever seen, and omg did I want to go see him and put a deposit on him

, but after reading what you said about them being like a low key caique, I thought better of it because I'm just afraid that I couldn't give the 3 of them enough out of cage time if I had 2 like Pogo. Don't get me wrong, I love him to death and wouldn't trade him for anything, but if I got a 3rd bird and it couldn't play with either of the two I have now, I'd be in big trouble...LOL.
