Well tonight was my first night in about 3 years or so managing a concert. It was an over booked show. I was worried, because I had to get 8 bands checked in, collect the presale money, set up the line up, and get together with the sound tech to get everything set up. Well I mastered my domain like always. I wooed and schmoosed the bands. I got them to fill out all the paperwork and payment receipts so that I wouldn't have to require much of their time after they play. I set up myself at the front door, and sorted out the money. As the artists would pop in and out I would encourage them to shake every hand they could, and really meet and greet everyone they could. I kept on top of the artists, and the sound tech kept working hard to make sure that the bands came on and off like a lightneing bolt so that we could make a short night of it. I worked very closely with the vanue manager, and he took good care of me. I offered all kinds of advice to the bands, and made sure the night flowed easily. All in all we managed to shave an hour off the clock so all was well! I nailed all the paperwork, and made sure everyone was payed accordingly. It took a lot of work, and a lot of energy, and thankfully my mom showed up with food, and helped with the people coming in so I could go smoke and work on paperwork. It was a fun fun night.

wow that sounds exciting, what a cool job. I could never do that cause when things get to stressed out I seem like I'm mad and that makes other people mad. Even if I'm not actually. Good for you!

Yeah it was a blast. I need to get to the bank, because I've been puttig off depositing the money out of laziness lol! I think I have a couple of weeks before I will have to do another show. In the mean time I will probably be organizing all of my stuff so I can be doubly efficient.

P.S. the website is slowly being worked on, but I promise to really crank it out this week I swear!
