WORTH TRYING!

During a lecture on Essential Oils, they told us how the foot soles can absorb oils. Their example: Put garlic on your feet and within 20 minutes you can 'taste' it.

Some of us have used Vicks Vapor Rub for years for everything from chapped lips to sore toes and many body parts in between. But I've never heard of this. And don't laugh, it works 100% of the time, although the scientists who discovered it aren't sure why.
To stop night time coughing in a child (or adult as we found out personally), put Vicks Vapor Rub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime, then cover with socks. Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief. Works 100% of the time and is more effective in children than even very strong prescription cough medicines. In addition it is extremely soothing and comforting and they will sleep soundly.

Just happened to tune in A.M. Radio and picked up this guy talking about why cough medicines in kids often do more harm than good, due to the chemical makeup of these strong drugs so, I listened. It was a surprise finding and found to be more effective than prescribed medicines for children at bedtime, in addition to have a soothing and calming effect on sick children who then went on to sleep soundly..

My wife tried i t on herself when she had a very d eel constant and persistent cough a few weeks ago and it worked 100%! She said that it felt like a warm blanket had enveloped her, coughing stopped in a few minutes and believe me, this was a deep, ( incredibly annoying!) every few seconds, uncontrollable cough, and she slept cough-free for hours every night that she used it.

If you have grandchildren, pass this on. If you end up sick, try it yourself and you will be absolutely amazed at how it works.

TRY IT THE NEXT TIME YOU GET A BAD COLD.

Vicks vapor rub will also cure fingernail & toe fungus! I used to have those acrylic nails and got a fungus infection that persisted for almost a year. I had tried the oral prescription meds and everything.

Ya know what finally cured it? .... yep, Vicks Vapor Rub. I found the info on the internet, otherwise, I'd probably still be fighting it. Several people I know have used it on their toenail fungus and within about 40 days ..... gone. i know. ... gross to talk about it, but even worse to have it!

The key is ... you must be CONSISTENT WITH THE USE. Put on and around your infected nail once in the AM and once at PM. Within about 5 days, the yellow will be gone and within about 30-40 days ... it will be healed.

Vicks is awesome.

I have been sick for over a week now and the cough is the worst thing hanging around. I'll try it tonight and let you know in the morning if it helped. Worth a shot to get a good night sleep. smile.gif

I had never heard of it until last year when my nephew caught a cold (he was an infant at the time). His doctor told them to put Vicks on his chest and feet at night and it worked. Since then I have done it a couple times and it worked for me to!

Well I put Vicks on my feet last night before bed but I have to admit I also put it on my chest. It felt so good to inhale it and get a full breath without coughing. I slept through the night so I don't know if I coughed or not, but at least I slept. biggrin.gif So I don't know if it was becuase it was on my feet or my chest. I do have to say that when I took my socks off this morning my feet were really soft. tongue.gif
