Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd share this with you. Lots of you probably heard of Kelly James and his fellow climbers who were trapped on Mt. Hood in a horrific blizzard in December 2006. It was on the national news quite often until his body was finally found in a snow cave. He was my high school boyfriend, and though I'd lost touch with him for many years, we had just recently gotten back in touch via that Renunion site, and I had planned on attending a Christmas party with my hubby that year only to find out that he lost his life on Mt. Hood. I spoke with his wife Karen several times afterwards, and she is an awesome lady. She wrote a book about the ordeal, and it just came out yesterday, so I thought I'd share it with you all. I picked it up at the Barnes and Nobel last night, so I've only read a few chapters, but it looks like it's going to be a really good read, and quite inspirational. This is the web site if you'd like more info. http://www.holdingfastforpurpose.com/index.htm He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
