I am just wondering why the mods are able to delete a thread, that they have started, or someone else deleted it. I was being accused of things when I asked questions and confronted the person and now its deleted. Why can we not delete out threads is need be.I do not think this should be allowed. It should be done by Shelly and with an reason why it was deleted.

MODS can't delete any threads period regardless of who started them. If a mod wants a thread deleted then they need to take the same approach as any other member.

When the member who starts the thread asks that a thread be deleted we comply with that request if the thread has gone down a path where leaving it there holds no value to the forum at large. This applies to anyone who asks regardless of whether or not they are a mod.

The only ones who can delete a thread are Shelly and myself.

The reason a thread is deleted may or may not have anything to do with the forum at large and therefore there may not be a reason provided to the forum at large .. If Shelly/myself feel a member needs to know why a thread is deleted then they will be contacted privately.

If you have an issue as to why a thread is deleted then you should contact Shelly and myself via PM.

I'm not sure what thread is being referred to as I haven't deleted anything today so my reply is "general".

I know the thread and also wondered why it vanished between this morning and now.....

Rose, it sounds like you are concerned that your posts in the thread in question were out of line. If you are unsure, let me remind you that there is a link to our forum guidelines at the top of every page of the forum. Please review this page at your earliest convenience. As long as you are posting within those guidelines, you won't ever have to worry about your posts being removed due to improper content. Hope this helps.

And yes, I was the one who removed the thread.

And to ask the question am I missing something and saying you rehomed you birds and asked if she was getting more was not in the guidelines? But to accuse me of bashing her was ok. why not just delete the 2 post the one where she was rude for accusing me of judging here, don't see that in my post!!! then I said don't see why you feel you have to defend yourself. Maybe I am missing something here.

I went and read the guide lines. I guess I should have reported her post when she was rude this way I would not have stumped to her level and got rude back.

Rose, I did not accuse you of bashing anyone. The reason the post was removed had nothing to do with you. But you seem to think that it did, and so I simply pointed you to the guidelines so that you could answer your own question.
