I am jumping out of my skin in anticipation. I am SO excited! I wish I could figure out how to post a darn photo of him! I spent alot of time on the phone with his mom today, and am SO thrilled that he is coming from a good home!!! He is an 8 year old Timneh.

HAHA, this is beyond giddy! I am nervous, that he will be stressed out. He has never been with another bird, but has dogs, cats and an Iguana at home. I am scared that he wont like me. (pity party, please) and I am worried that our home is too loud for him. BUT, his momma is a vet, and she thinks we are a good home, and is SO excited for us. I just want him here, to know that its gonna work out!

I was just wondering where you are getting Sidney from? Did you find him on CL or did your vet have him to rehome? I only ask because I know Timneh's are hard to find in our area. Good luck with him and I'm sure he will love you and his new home.

Sorry about my freak out! Its like having a second baby!!! To answer some questions.......I have been looking at rescue sights for awhile, and got the run around from one in Milwaukee. I have wanted a grey for some time, also a blue, whichever came to me first. I was looking on Craigs List, expanded my search (he is 4 hours away, in Minnesota) and found a older add, and just for the heck of it, asked if the grey was still available. He was. The owner just couldent find the right home, and was irratated by how many people just wanted to plop down money and take the bird. She was EXTREMELY thorough in questioning me, my family life, my home, schedule, etc.......She got accepted into vet school, and will be working 2 jobs. She knows she will not have enough time for him. He is 8, very well behaved. The owner sounds extrememly responsible, and just as worried as I am about everything. We are excited to meet each other. I will let you know how it goes.....jumping in the shower to get ready to go get him!!!!

Oh I can't wait to hear all about him! He's a beauty!!! I've been wanting a TAG or a CAG for awhile now too. I've been hoping to find one that I could "rescue" rather than get a baby this time around. When I had Ollie in to the vet a few weeks ago for her tests, our vet asked me what we were going to add next to our flock. I told him a grey, and he has one there at the vet and we telling me how awesome they are (already knew that...hehehe). I told him I'd like to adopt this time around since there are so many unwanted birds out there, so he said that he'd call me if he heard of anyone needing to rehome a grey. (shhhh....don't tell my hubby...lol)
Can't wait to see more pics. WELCOME HOME SIDNEY!!!!

OMG!!! He is HOME! I cant believe it. I was SO nervous picking him up. I fell in love the instant I saw him. He is potty trained, so I have to tell him to "go poo" and put him on a garbage can. So well behaved, I can not believe it. When Jackie got him, she had bronchitis, so the first thing he learned to do, is cough. So the whole time in the car, he is coughing, and I would laugh, and my daughter would laugh, and he would laugh. It was awesome. He loves to be "itched". I LOVE him. I will post photos asap. Thank you ALL for your support. WHAT A GEM!!!!

OH.......MY.........LORD!!! I swear, I almost peed in my pants listening to him talk today!!! He chatted up a storm!! My kids and I were in the kitchen, and he just went off, talking! We think he sounds like an alien!! He steps up to everyone in my family, kids included. He loves his head being "itched" and will grab anything and itch it himself. He says "Sidney wanna peanut?" and then shakes his head "yes" I have to video him, and add photos. I need to pinch myself that he is MINE!!!!!!! He will not potty in his cage, so he says "poo" and I have to take him out and put him over his garbage can. I am SOOOOOO in LOVE!~!

OH, my, what a loud bunch I have here in the mornings! I am finding that a TAG is much like having a toddler in the house! I can never figure out who is saying what when I am trying to get the kids out to school! I talk to the kids, then Roxy squalks, and Sidney says something......its a riot!! He has already learned "Roxy boy" and when the cat walks by, he says "meow" He tells me that he has to "poo", so I let him out of the cage. Promise Ill put new photos and a video up soon!!
