ok right now i have a valentine siggy and i want to put in the general one

but when i try this comes up

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.


The error returned was:
You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif"

i copy the second link in photobucket and paste it in the box and then hit

edit my signature

and that pops up what do i do?
i had no problem getting the first one there lol

Copy and paste the Direct Link from Photobucket (not the IMG one) into the Insert Image button here.

When you edit your siggy you don`t paste directley into the big box you click the image icon on the bar on top of the box then a new box opens for you to add the address from Photobucket..

Avatar...This is the small picture on the top left hand side of the post..
To add it you must go to MY CONTROLS..then to Edit Avatar upload the picture from your computer make sure its in J`peg formate..

Signature;This is the tag or picture at the bottom of your messages..
You MUST have this saved on a Free on line web page ..such as Web Shots /Photobucket or Imagestation...COPY the URL Adress from there, in photobucket its the 2nd line under your picture...Go to MY CONTROLS...Edit Signature
Look at Bar with icons and click IMG a space will pop up this is where you COPY the URL address you have copied from the picture on the free web page...DONE...
The Avatar and Signature should now show up on every message you post...

I don't know why you got that error unless you have an extra dot and a quote mark in the original file name.

In the error message you posted:
The format in the invalid example is - .one.gif" - which is definitely not a valid format for any file type.

yes i have tried both ways

i did not have to click insert image with the first one

anyway i am using the second one down on photo bucket and the same thing still keeps coming up

and the actual link does not have the .one.gif

this is what i put in there

without the space between . and com i have tried deleating the 1 in there too but it is not working

it says that even when i try to just delete the old picture and not add anything new

Hmmm, it works for me, I just copied that link (took out the space) and pasted it in the Insert Image button and it posted perfectly.

Don`t give up you must be doing something wrong ...Have another go...

Try taking the asterisk out of this and just paste into your signature field:

[*IMG]http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j260/ashleyw22/Ashley_New_Siggy-1.gif[/IMG]

Did you go ahead and update your signature? You don't see the picture until it has been submitted; you just see the code.

ok well i got it to work

but i had to take the ticker factory thing out before it would work
lets see if i can get it back in there

yay i got it to work

i dont know what was wrong but for some reaon it did not like the ticker factory thing

I'll bet the ticker code has an unclosed tag or something somewhere.

EDIT: Make that "...had an unclosed tag...".
