Just got back from visiting our eclectus. I decided on the name Ruby rather than Blaze. She's getting more red pin feather's in....poor baby is like a little pin cushion right now! @ the video....you can hear the owner coming up to me giving me a hard time about getting yet another bird.
They also had one of the most beautiful 5 year old bh caique there I've ever seen. I wanted to bring him home too, but alas, I believe we have run out of cage room for now!

Adorable! And I LOVE the name Ruby! I think that's perfect for a female eclectus. Good choice! I bet it seems forever until you get to bring her home!

Amsue....ROFL that literally DID make me laugh out loud!!! Thanks everyone! Julie, the feathers are really more greyish, but they look browner in the pics for some reason. The down on her little butt is SOOO SOFT!!!
On another note, we just finished birdie "flock" time...then Peep had her own time. I was just thinking as much as I adore all my birds, Simon will always be "mommy's bestest bird". He reminds me each and everyday why I so adore him! His newest thing is when we go "mmmm" as in the noise right before a kiss, he makes a loud smacking noise before we can even do it....or simutaneously! It's just another one of those adorable quaker things I love so much.
Peep is a real sweetie too! She is nothing but love and cuddles and cute little noises. It's just so cool learning all the different things about different birdies!!

Lisa, I know what you mean. When Isis hears me moving around getting ready to shut lites and TV off to go to bed I hear Kiss Kiss *smack smack* from under the covers. He's telling me good nite no wonder we love these little featherbutts!!
