We went to see our baby today and so of course I've got a couple of vids and a pic to share. She's starting to get lots of red feathers in, and man can she squawk!! We only had her out for a few minutes because they said after our last visit they think she got too cold because she didn't swallow her evening food and it was still in her crop after a few hours. They have her on some antibiotics now in case she got a crop infection from the food sitting there too long. She seemed just fine to me.

She's a sweetie wub.gif It's amazing how fast she's changing

That chewing on the finger thing's going to be a problem when she gets bigger. laugh.gif I've seen a grown ekkie and OUCH. She must think you have food and you're not handing it over.

Her little noises got my boy budgie and Jade both squawking back at her. Clyde and Bonnie are too busy having an evening snack to notice.

Lisa, we must just be missing each other at TT...I was there Friday getting Boogie's new perch...it was not cheap but he really seems to like it. Hopefully, it will make him feel more at home.

Ruby is so precious...I know you can't wait to get her home smile.gif

awwwwwwwwww baby birdies are just so darn cute!!! It's great that you can go and visit with her, Lisa and get some pre-bonding time in. Hopefully by the time you bring her home, she'll be so used to you that the transition will go smoothly.

Lisa, Boogie is doing great and feeling more at home everyday. We're takiing it real slow. He is very jumpy and nervous...however he is letting my free hand go behind him and get closer all the time. Hopefully I'll be able to pet him soon,

Sunnie was the same way but he is already letting me pet his lower back and tail feathers. We're working with all of them everyday to get them more comfortable and trusting. All in good time.
He is also starting to try to say words.

Cracker is a hoot...talking all the time and just having a blast. He had a bath in the bottom of his cage today in one of those little Glad containers...I love a wet Quaker wub.gif

Both Cracker and Sunnie love to give kisses all the time and both make the kissy noises...they are so sweet.

Sorry for the long update...shouldv'e probably been another thread...oh well

Nooo....was good to hear about them all. I'm glad to know our sun isn't the only one that's a little skittish. He just started making kissing noises this week...so cute isn't it? Even though Ollie and Simon get along, I've figured out that Ollie just needs some of his own time with us individually to warm up a bit. Glad things are going well with Boogie. I'd think any rehomed bird would take awhile to settle in. I admire you for knowing that it will all come with time!!

Carrie Ann....yes it's cool we get to see her from almost the beginning. I've not gone as often as I'd like since she's still so young and they seemed to think it sort of traumatized her that our second visit was so long. Once she gets more feathers and we don't have to worry about her getting too cold etc. we'll probably be up there every day! smile.gif

Von...I cannot WAIT to see her when she gets her feathers!!! So exciting!!!
