It was a contest to win a free cage on this site I found.............. http://birdaday.com/free-stuff/free-parrot-cage-giveaway/

24. Pamela L Latimore - July 11, 2008 My Quaker Kiwi Would love that cage. He deserves it for he has been my best friend and saved my life. I was hit with some severe arthitis and bone degenerative disease.I have been unable to work for 3 years which has devasted me for I am only 50 and been active. I was given a medication I had a reaction to and could not move. Kiwi was yelling ‘help” very loud and did not stop until a UPS man knocked, Kiwi said come in. The man could not believe it was a bird yelling help. The loyality of my Quaker parrott has amazed me. He has helped me through some bad times. He has had the same cage for 4 years, it is large enough yet starting to age. His cage is his castle and he deserves a mansion. Thank you. Pam and Kiwi

That's so cool!! I swear quakers are the most awesome birds. It's hard for me to believe sometimes that a bird so small can be so smart and intuitive. Birds are just amazing creatures for sure, and quakers are phenomenal! I can tell Simon when he's on the sofa or on the back of our pillows on our bed to come to me and point to my shoulder, and he will strut his little green feather butt over. Not something I ever taught him at all, I just would ask him to come over and point to my shoulder, and he picked it right up. I adore all my birds, but really cannot imagine ever having another one that so totally is in tune with me and that has stolen my heart like my quaker is and has.
