Fridays is the day that hubby and/or I transport baby and injured birds from a vet by our house to a wildlife rescue center just out of Dallas. Today they had 3 birds for us to take. We walked to the back, and first we see a little house finch in a small cage. Then there are 2 boxes. I open the first one to see a baby blue jay. I open the second one and see THIS!!

Little guy is nothing but beak!!! Oh, they said at the center that it's a mockingbird.

and I thought my mouth was big!

Awwwww, so cute. Some friends of mine raised an orphaned baby Mocking Bird. They named him 'Addicus' (after Addicus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird). I thought that was an adorable name.

Their effort was successful and when they released him at their home (very woodsy area) he stayed around for months and would often lite on the patio table to visit them. They enjoyed him so much.

I love baby bird's too. I have a Robins nest beside my house and every summer their are little ones hopping around in my yard.
