I am curious what the dots under peoples user names are.
I only have two and i've seen others with different amounts.
What do they mean?

Also, My personal photo does not appear to left side of my posts like everyone elses.
What am I doing wrong?

The dots under the names just give an idea about your member status and it goes by posts; I believe the max is 10 dots and that's when you hit 100 posts, but I could be wrong..

When you upload your avatar in your control panal make sure it's fairly small... whenever I try to uplaod a larger one it doesn't work. Make sure once you upload it you press "update avatar" ... once you hit that it will tell you whether it uploaded properly or if you need to redo it. smile.gif

Hope that helps a bit. smile.gif

I'm not sure if the dots are how long you've been a member or how may many posts you've made but you'll get more. smile.gif

The picture beneath your username is your "Avatar". Just go to the "My Controls" link at the top of the page (any page), down the left hand side of the page find "Edit Avatar" and upload your picture.

EDIT: Casey's Mom, you're just too fast. laugh.gif

Thanks Casy's mom and QPdad.

My avatar is up a running well and i understand the dots now.
Though i had some idea they probably meant something along those lines i just wanted to be sure.

Your avatar looks great ...

The avatar is the one that appears to the left of all posts and your personal photo will appear in your profile ..

The pips (dots) and member groups are assigned based on number of posts as follows:

Newbie ----- 0 to 9 posts --
Member-----10 to 29 posts --
Adv Member 30 to 39 posts --

Once you reach 30 posts you are an advance member .. With each 10 posts you get an additional pip (dot - ) up to a maximum of 10 pips (dots - ) or 100 posts .. Although your pips don't accumulate beyond 10 .. your post count will continue to accumulate under your group name to the left of all posts ..
