I'm sad to say that due to job circumstances I've had to give up my last two mares. Unfortunately my husband has not worked in over a month and job prospects are pretty slim at the moment. He applied for one the other day and the guy told him he had over 80 applicants for the one position. mellow.gif I've cut out everything I can from the cable to the internet trying to hang onto them as long as I can. I feel like I've found a good home for them which eases it a bit but it still breaks my heart. They were the best of the bunch and I love them dearly. With a baby on the way we don't see any other choice than to let them go to someone who can afford to care for them properly.

It really brings home that saying that if you love something sometimes you have to let it go. sad.gif

What a shame. I know how it hurts. I had to give mine up years ago and it hurt. I really hope that things turn around for you and you get another chance. Good luck.

They are so beautiful!

My heart goes out to you - we have 5 horses and I love them each and everyone -
no two are the same.

It's just so sad watching our American Dreams go away -
for one reason or another.

I love America - don't want to live anywhere else -
but with our economy - religion - war - it is all so heart breaking!

BIG HUGS FOR YOU and ALL OF US!!!!

I'm so sorry Tamara. I know how you feel. Been there and done that and I know how badly it hurts. Best wishes in the job department. A job is a rare thing to find now days, but maybe just the right think will come along and tap him on the shoulder. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Well it might be happening a little sooner. The guy called and if it's not raining he would like to come out this afternoon. On one hand I pray it's raining on the other hand I feel almost like it's a bandaid, once it's off it won't hurt as much.

Thank you for all your support and thoughts.

I am so sorry that you have to do this. Reminds me of years ago when we had to do the same, even our little Filly that was only 8 months old..... sad.gif Praying your Hubby gets a job soon......

That's good you've found a home for them. We've been in the horse business for 20 years and have never had a horse that eats as much as one of our Paint drafts lol!

As a fellow horse owner, I am so sorry to hear this and my heart goes out to you. You're doing what you have to do, but that doesn't make it easier at all...it still tears at your heart to lose equine family members.

HUGS Tam! I am very sorry you have had to do this... I know how much you love these two, and so do they. Rest assured you have done a great job in researching the very best home possible for them to move on to!
