It's been just over a week so I guess it's time to share our sad news with everyone. Christy, our almost 14 year old Golden, had to be put down last Sunday May 31st. Her health had been decreasing throughout the spring but she was still doing fairly well until that weekend... the past week without her has been weird but we know it was for the best...

Rest in peace Christy.. we all love you!! <3

What a beautiful and happy dog....I am so sorry for your loss. I know there are no words to help.

I am sure, Christy knows how much you love and adore her...it even shows in her happy expressions.

My parents had to put our jinx down last year. she looked just like your doggy lol. Jinx was 15years old(human) she held on but in the end she had to put down. My dad has a picture of her on his library wall that he still talks to....I tell him he is weird but he ignors me lol. When you have a family member for so long when they pass it is heart breaking. I feel for your family as its close to losing a child. I hope you have lots of support in this sad time. Our familys thoughts will be with you.

Oh Janet I am so sorry. She'll live on in your heart. I LOVE that second picture of her leaping over the log! That is how you have to remember her ... active, healthy and oh so happy ... just LOOK at that smiley face!

Yep, she was my puppy---and I'll miss her soooo much....thanks for sharing the news with me last weekend, although it was news that devastated me too....I have her pictures over the house and will be able to remember her everytime I look at them....(in my bedroom, in the kitchen).......

Mom and dad and all have been affected so tragically by the death of their sweet baby but think of all the beautiful walks she had with you all through the park and down by the lake....The memories of these stories will be with me forever....

I just had to share my feelings of Christy's passing Casey's Mom, and I think by sharing with everyone will help in the healing process....

Ah man...I'm sorry to hear this, I know how much you all loved that poochie...She was a beautiful dog both inside and out and she will forever be in your hearts and memories. Just know that she's in a better place and she can no longer suffer.

We'll miss the stories of her antics though that's for sure.

I am so sorry to hear this. Your photos are beautiful and she looks so happy. It's sad that our gorgeous furry friends are only with us for such a short time in our lives. Fortunately they adorn us with much love for us to remember and keep close to our hearts. Sending you hugs.

If that isn't the prettiest face and that little tongue hanging out....Goldens look like they are always smiling, maybe that is why I like the goldens so much...and Christy Girl, you are the prettiest golden I have ever seen girl....why can't doggies live much longer; life is too short for most of them...and I guess when that times comes, you just don't want to see them go..........
