My husband and I are the new home of a quaker that was posted here on the forum. Kelly arrived yesterday about 3pm, and is starting to settle in. At the moment she and Peanut are talking back and forth from the seperate rooms they are in. It's quite comical really. She is calling Peanut "Buttercup" (former animal at her old home), and he keeps saying "Whaaaaaaaat?" in responce.

Aww she sounded like such a sweetheart in Nolan's post, I'm so glad someone on the forum could give her a wonderful home!

Gave both of the birds a mixture of veggies, grapes and a few bites of leftover chicken ..... Kelly loves chicken.

You should have fun with those two. Sounds like they will do a lot of talking back and forth. Do you plan to let them out in a play area together? I always wonder if the first bird will naturally be protective of what has been his/her play area, or maybe, you would have to get one that was new to both of them. Anyway, congratulations and enjoy.

I do plan on letting them out to play together, later on. Right now we're doing it one at a time until we're used to each other and stuff.

I haven't had the big play area up for a couple months, since we lived in the apartment (not sure where to put it yet in the house) so I am sure that Peanut will be willing to share.. since he hasn't seen it for a while.
