I've had Gator and Sky for 2 months now. I started out just fostering them and never intended on falling in love with 2 bonded untame quakers... but I have.

I made a promise to Shelly that if she ever wants them back, they are hers. In the meantime, I treat them like my own.

Sky is still quiet and shy. She loves Gator and lets him take care of her. She's afraid of hands but will take a nutriberry from my fingers. She still hasn't learned exactly how to get back inside the cage once she's out and that means at bedtime she knows I'm coming for her. I towel her and she's fine. I just wish she'd figure out how to get back inside herself so I don't have to scare her every night!

Gator is a trip. He's a plucker but ****, he's so cute! He sings the most random songs and has started blowing me kisses and asks for them back. He spends HOURS playing with his toys. Out of the 3 quakers I have... he's the only one that acutally plays. He loves pushing all his toys outside the bars of the cage and I make him SO mad when I push them back in at bedtime.

Here are some recent pictures I've taken of the love birds...

I especially love that last picture with them leaning their heads together. wub.gif You never know, they might decide you're not so bad after all and get a little friendlier, even if they're never cuddly.
