I just got possession of a bonded/mated pair of GORGEOUS sun conures. (Bill & Hillary! biggrin.gif ) I cannot keep them. My flock is full. I am looking to rehome them to someone who can take proper care of them. Nothing wrong with them, both are in beautiful feather. Not really hand tame, but with a little work they could/would be, at least neither of them has taken a chunk out of me when I try to handle them (YET) wink.gif They are very bonded, live in the same cage. Apparently, according to the previous owners, they have raised chicks before so cannot be split.

Nothing wrong with the birds at all. Their previous owners developed lung issues due to the birds, knew I have parrots, and asked me to take them.

They come with their cage (not really big, but adequate - 24x24x18), whatever food I have left, and their toys. I think they would be great in a home without other birds as suns are very loud all by themselves, but they don't appear upset by my houseful smile.gif They aren't screamers that I can tell (at least they aren't here) but they do make lots of chatter sun noises, little squawks and chirps. I don't think they talk (suns aren't known good talkers anyway)

I wish I could keep them, they are so beautiful. I'd love to work with them, but dont have time with the 9 other fids I have. I DONT want to Craigslist them, but if I can't find like minded bird people, I will be forced to take my chances with CL sad.gif

They do have a modest re-home fee (less than the cost of ONE) which I will discuss with interested parties.

Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids/Holland area but could travel a bit more if yer willing to meet halfway. I hope I can find someone to take these beautiful birds and give them a wonderful home.

They sure are beautiful! I don't suppose there's any way you could run them up to southern NY??? biggrin.gif

NO interest .... hhmmmm ... Craigslist it is...I can't keep them! I've posted them on a sun conure list and got two hits, one from Maryland one from NJ.... now there is NO WAY I can drive to either one of those so I'm hoping Craigslist will generate some DECENT interest ... UGH I hate putting them there, but no choice ...

HURRAY!!! Found a nice local home for them on Kijiji!! Lots of interest, but most wanted just one and I wouldn't split them. The family that picked them up have other fids and know how to breed, handfeed, and take good care of our feathered friends! I am confident they'll be happy there.

So Carrie Anne, you can close this thread! Happy home found for them! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
