I've been looking for a quaker for a while now, im located on Long Island, NY. I currently have a blue crown conure which was adopted and I would love to either adopt a quaker or purchase- age doesn't matter to me. I love quakers and haven't been able to find a local breeder. I would love to deal locally, but would consider(depending on the situation) rehoming one from out of state, and would cover shipping expense. I have a loving home, please contact me if your interested.
Thanks,
Shana

There is or was a baby quaker female in Long Island NY you could send them a message and see if they still have it and are looking for a home for it.

Thanks for the info. I emailed her already and haven't heard back. That was a post from June so that quaker may not be available anymore. We'll see what happens...
Thanks.

You might also check with the local animal rescue groups, I know from time to time they tear down the Quaker nests in new york and take the babies for adoption. If you look on utube there are many videos of wild quakers in central park and that area. They make big nests in lights and towers and they tear them down but are careful not to hurt them. Just another option.
