It was a heavy rainy day. we had tornado warning sirens go off all early this evening. but look what i found by our mailbox trying to dry out. poor guy.

Poor little thing alright, bet they don't like getting wet at all, I love snakes but we don't have them here, if we did I would have a pet one.

yeah its a garter snake. hubby did a google and that is what it pulled up and yea he didnt like getting wet and when it rained really hard he finally hid under the bushes.

to be honest I dont like snakes either but i found this guy is harmless and i took a pic for the opportunity presented itself!! snakes are ok as long as they are from a distance from me.

I know snakes are one of God's creatures and necessary for balance of the eco system and all that, but YIKES! I hate em, there is a black one who was resting on my front stoop. I dont go out the front door anymore.

Ugh, not a snake person either, but I do still feel sorry for the little bugger.

Ok I am not a huge fan of BIG snakes, but I did have a baby ball python once-- It was pretty cool!! It would actually like being held-- when you would put your hand in the cage it would come to you and slither onto your hand and just look at you. I had to give him to my brother though, because I was afraid of salmonella and I was preggers-- IT got pretty big and he just donated it to the zoo here a few years ago because it was soooo big!! I would soooo not love going outside and running into a big snake, but a garter snake wont' do anything. LOL Thanks for sharing!!
