I have two quakers that need a good home together. One is about 6 years old and had severe seperation anxiety to the point of where he plucked most of his feathers out. They are slowly starting to grow back in, thanks to his new friend missy. She is about 6 months and was bought to see if having a friend would help petey, which it did. They are really bonded and can not be seperated. I am moving to another state for a year with a family member who can't have birds. I was planning on leaving them with my parents but I really think it would be better for the birds if I found someone who could take them.
My parents are not bird people and my birds don't like them, so I'm afraid they wouldn't get the attention they need and that might make Petey start plucking again. If anybody could take them together and give them a new forever home, I would really appreciate it.
I live a few hours south of houston, texas and would be willing to drive certain distance to meet somewhere.
Thanks in advance

How far out of Houston do you live? I am in Baytown and was reading your post and was wanting more information on them if you don't mind.
Thank You
Cindy

I live in Bay City. Its about an hour and a half to two hours south of houston. Anything you need to know I can tell you. Petey talks and gives kisses. Sometimes you can't always understand him but he says what, thank you, he calls the dogs and then yells at them, and depending on his mood he says some other things. Missy gives kisses and is still working on talking. They get along with dogs and cats and kids. Petey can be tempermental sometimes but I think thats just a quaker thing. Just let me know if you are still interested.

If that home does not work out I may be able to take them and when you move back you can have them back ifyou want them.
