Well I have never really been big on making toys, I am really not creative at all and I'm very impatient lol However Cagney goes through about $40 worth of toys a week so I decided I better learn! This weekend I went and spent his toy budget at Micheals (local craft store) and got some REALLY cool stuff. I guess I wasn't thinking much and came home with a few things that I didnt look over carefully enough.

One is a package of suede strings, is this safe? Also I got some thread that I thought was sisle but it turned out to be hemp thread, is that ok? And I got some really cheap chinese takeout type boxes that I thought I could fill with tissue paper and treats but the top is too easy for him to get open, any suggestions on how to secure that better??

I guess....here goes nothing!! smile.gif

I would pass on the suede unless you can guarantee it was either untanned, or vegetable tanned.

The hemp thread should be fine, as long as it's not dyed ot treated. Same with the boxes, you can kinda tell if it has been stained or coated. I wouldn't use it unless its plain wood.

You could use your hemp string to tie up the boxes to make it more of a challenge.
