Full Version: Gabby And Baby Looking For New Home Or Foster Care
Quaker Parrot Forum > Avian Re-Homing > Member's Birds Needing New Homes

I have 2 5 year-old green Quakers, Baby and Gabby. We love them dearly, but we are finding that we are not cut out to be pet owners. We're already getting kicked out of one apartment for their noise. So we are looking for a new home for our sweeties. It absolutely breaks my heart, but I know it's the right thing to do.

Ideally, I'd like to find someone who would be willing to foster them for a year or so until we can get out of apartment living and into a house, where we may be more able to deal with the birds and not have to worry about their noise upsetting the neighbors.

We live in the Minneapolis area. The birds come with a large play cage and a sleeping cage (both from Avian Adventures), and all their toys. We're not asking for any adoption fee, but we will grill you before we let the birds go home with anyone. smile.gif We had one possible family, but after meeting with them for a few hours I just wasn't comfortable leaving them there.

If you are interested, PM me with your email address or phone number. Baby has a plucked neck from a previous home (he hasn't plucked in our home), and is a talker. Gabby doesn't talk so much but is the "big protector". They are a bonded pair and MUST go together.

Gabby and Baby are still looking for a place. If you can open your heart and home to them for even a year until we can get into a house, we would be eternally grateful, and willing to help provide for their care! We move in 10 days and can't take them with us.
