I use a simple glass pie plate. I have to refill it quite a bit though; Ollie tends to swish the water every time he gets down in it, and make a mess for sure. happy.gif

i think if the cereal bowl works then save your money and keep with it!!! biggrin.gif

Ok this might be out of your range but I had two green cheeked conures who just dearly loved their two tiered bubbling Bird bath it was a shallow metal yard bird bath bought at a flea market you filled it up and plugged it in and sat back to watch the show.
Everything for three feet around was soaked but you could just tell they were having fun. Yeah sure not a in the house solution but if you have a covered porch I tell ya you can sell tickets.

I was looking for a perfect bird bath for my iPosha and tried different ones before found a perfect one for him. The first one was too deep and he could not see anything from it and he did not like it. So i got a flat plastic storage container and he loves it! it is low so he can see everything white taking a bath and he can get in and get out from it by himself when he wants. And also it's easy to clean and very cheap. iPosha also has a small bird bath in his cage but it's more for playing since he is too big for it rolleyes.gif I attached a picture of his bath smile.gif
Bubbi's Mom
Hi,
My little Bubbi loves to use the bathroom sink, when I can convince him to get in. I usually run the water and play in it as well. When he's cooperative, he loves it, says "all done" and climbs up on my hand. Then the finale - he ruffles all his feathers and says "dog shake". You could use the kitchen sink as well, just let your little one make the decision. Of course the sink has to be clean ;-}. Hope this helps.

I use one of the black meat trays from walmart. buy yourself a pack of hamburger, run it through the dishwasher and voila....quaker tub.

Mine loves it! He has lots of room to move around and play in the pool. And the bottom isn't slick.

I just found this in a cheapie shop had this one and a smaller one I bought both ..But a pirex or cassarole diss would be good too something heavy that can`t be knocked over...

Don`t come near me your all wet (sunnys thoughts)

I have a table in the bird room and put fresh tepid water in each day although Buddy only takes a dip a couple of times a week , it is winter here maybe he will cool of more whan its hotter..
Unfortunately Sunny ONLY baths in his drink coup..no matter how many bowls I try to find....smile.gif

We used to have a sun too that would only bathe in her metal drink bowl. So we took that out, and put in a LIXIT brd bath bowl and then she was happy with that. We kept it clean so she could drink and bathe in it. She always had her bath in the morning.

A few places to get one:
