I was on this forum years ago when I first got Nicky, but I've been away a long time, so I thought we should stop by and introduce ourselves again. I got Nicky about two and a half years ago from a petshop that was two hours one way away from my apartment. The lady there told me that he belonged to a man and wife, but had bonded strongly with the man. Well, the man and wife were going through a nasty divorce, she took the bird and dropped him off at the petshop. He had been there a little while and was very nippy and wouldn't let anyone handle him. It was love at first sight! Once I got him out of the petshop and into my car, he turned into the sweetiest thing imaginable! He's been an absolute joy ever since! He goes everywhere with me, and loves to travel! When I get his travel cage out, he gets so excited and can't get in it fast enough! He loves the car rides... he gets to look out the window, have momma nearby, and sing along with the radio. He's such an absolute doll!
