I know exactly how you feel. I recently lost my quaker and I too am devastated. I search everyday for another quaker, there's such a huge emptyness in the house. But, I want the situation to be right, I know that birds are really set in their ways and attach to their people, I wouldn't want to get a bird that wouldn't be happy, and once I take on an animal, it's for life, never to give up again. So , I'm looking, but as the days pass on, I am finding that I am a bit more patient than the day before. Good luck to you in your search, I'm sure you'll find a rescue, just be patient.
