She is plucked but I know you all will not shudder or be offended when you see her. You'll be like me and see the beauty behind the feathers
She belongs to a very dear friend who's had her since she was a baby (4 years). In early June this year the grey started plucking her front, legs, and shoulders. After having all the bloodwork and swabs and whatnot done by the vet to determine if it was a health issue (its not), the vet and owner think it's stress she's picking up on.
So a separate vacation is being tried to see if both parront and parrot will settle down and be calm again. Then they will hopefully go back to being a lovely couple they were
this is the picture of her today.. day 2 of being with me and the boys. She hasn't touched a feather, but my friend says it's cuz she doesn't have any to pluck. She says this is what she has been doing..letting them start to come in and then going plucking crazy (pun intended).
So cross your fingers for us that her vacation at Casa del Yogi Spa will help her forget about doing the nudist thing
I love this little girl as much as my boys
