No pictures...we found a baby under a tree in our front yard Saturday. I picked him up with a towel and put him in a travel cage...gave him seeds, water, and he ate for about an hour and slept the rest of the afternoon. Gave him some fruit on Sunday morning which he "nibbled" at.
Really don't want another bird (we have a Blue & Gold McCaw and Voss Marie Eclectus - (both are practically naked from plucking) which is more than I can handle .....any suggestions as I sure don't want any harm to come to the Quaker. We live in Tampa Florida.

Have you tried contacting rescue groups for birds? I know there is one in Tampa. Florida parrot rescue- Here is their phone 813-516-1759.
If I lived closer, I'd take him- I'm over by Tarpon Springs- but I can't get over there this week. I could meet part way maybe.
Is he tame at all? Or do you think he's wild?

Wish I lived closer. Would give it a very good home.
