I was just bored and thought I would post an udpate on Cagney, the CAG I adopted a few months ago. He quit plucking and is almost fully feathered and ready for a wing trim. He is really the opposite of what I hear is typical of greys. He is really needy and will climb down off the cage a hundred times in a row trying to come over to me no matter how many times I put him back. And he is by far the loudest bird I have ever had. I am amazed my neighbors don't hear him but somehow they dont. He mostly talks and whistles and stuff but has a few periods during the day when he really screams his brains out. The only time he is quiet is when he is eating. His vocab is so huge that he literally can have conversations with you. Strangely we talk a lot about the cats, he says: Nala, Little, kitty kitty kitty!, meoooow!, bad kitty, good kitty and c'mere ki-ki
He is a pretty darn even tempered bird and has only bitten me twice, both times were my fault lol. He is pretty sweet and is even starting to step up for a few of my friends. Now that the days are starting to get shorter his hormones are becoming less an issue and he is turning out to be a pretty good bird. Although sometimes I wonder if I will go deaf from the screaming, but then at least it will be peaceful! LOL
