last night i was able to get Izzy (the rescue 'tiel) out of her cage with only a little effort , and NO bites!! then she sat on my chest and actually PLAYED with a little fluff of feather she had lost (were going through a molt with both the birds)

she wasnt shaking and trying to get away like normal, she was content and even let me kiss her with out trying to remove my nose biggrin.gif !!!!
she did stair steppers with me , and even did a few for my daughter , she played on my daughter some , and then came back to me .

only prob was the whole time MoJo was ticked off to have another birdy on HIS MOMMY! he was hollering and chattering very angy like, then after i put her back i got him and he bite me a few time to show me his dissatisfaction !!! LMAO!! lucky for me they were half hearted bites biggrin.gif

im so proud of Izzy and had to share biggrin.gif we have had her since early nov 08 and she was a hot mess when we got her home! slowly she has improved and i think this was a HUGE turning point! biggrin.gif

That's wonderful! Gives me hope for Jade. But I know just what you mean about MoJo. Heaven help us if we give anyone or anything attention besides the Grand Poobah. laugh.gif

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh !! I hope you realise MoJo will continue to resent your new fid if he feels left out ...you should always play with him first as he will consider himself top birdie ..might get less nips like that too..lol

I am so Happy your little tiel is getting friendlier and trusting love always wins over.... Great news..

oh no , he gets held WAY more often than Izzy!!! i was playing with him befoer i held her , then went back to him LOL . most of the time Izzy just ignores us and WILL NOT let us take her out, MoJo is held and played with off and on throught out the afternoon, he is fed first, put to bed last , and always knows he is top birdy!! he just is a jealous bugger when we hold Izzy even tho its so seldom (her choice not ours LOL)
