Just to make sure before the cage because lived in.... when I bought my cage the lady who sold it to me couldn't find the cups that went with it. I found some stainless steel ones at the dollar store (whoot for 2 for $1) and they're literally a hair too small for the metal circular bracket thingie on the cup doors. A single layer of vet wrap on the bracket not only keeps them safely in place but it pushes them firmly against the back edge of the door. I can push as hard as I can into the bottom of the bowl and it's not going anywhere. As long as I keep a very close eye on whether or not Romeo chews the wrap, I should be okay, right? If not, any other ideas?
Thanks!!!

Vet wrap is fine but you're right he might chew it. You could also get some of the plain veggie tanned leather strips and tie them around the holder to make it thicker?

Vet wrap is fine for use with the fids. And it is cheap enough so if it gets chewed and frayed, you can replace it.

Thanks for the verification! I figure everything going into the birdcage regardless of MY intention is going to be chewed on. =) And the vet wrap is that slightly bit sticky which keeps those little bowls from shifting in the holder.
