Hi everyone. Life has gotten a bit ahead of me, and I just don't have time for my birds. Unfortunately it won't get any less hectic for at least a year or longer.
I have: 2 cockatiels. They used to be hand tame and friendly, but they haven't been handled in months, and wont come to me now. They still love to get treats, and come to the cage bars when I'm near, but won't let me hold them. Asking $100 rehoming fee for both, with their cage. They are male/female. The male is the youngest, he's just turned 2. The female is 3 1/2. Male is cinnamon, female is yellow/grey.
Also I need to rehome my QP- Kiwi. He's almost a year and a half now. He will snap if you make quick movements near the cage, but as long as I don't startle him, he's not cage agressive. When I got him, he was male-agressive. He has since grown out of that, though he's not overly fond of strangers. When I take him to get his wings trimmed, he is wonderful with the people there. When I first got him, he was mean as can be, but I won him over with apple slices within a matter of days. He talks a little, but mostly mimics noises. He has not been sexed, I just assume he is a male, because he didn't lift his tail when he rubbed on perches earlier in the year. LOL Asking $100 rehoming fee, including his cage.
All birds eat zupreem pellets as their primary diet, and love the addition of fruits/veggies/nuts/cheerios, etc. The cockatiels are particularly fond of carrots, and Kiwi is a ham for apples.
