I have been adding aloe vera JUICE to the birds' water for the last week, at the ratio of 1:3 (juice to water) in hopes it will helps a couple of the pluckers.
I ASSUME that the juice is what some of you add to water in a bottle to mist the birds - not gel, right?
Just hoping for some clarification!
THANK YOU!

I add the juice to bath water, but that's just because that's what available at my grocery store. I don't know if one is better than the other.

I use both. lol The gel in for me when I get bitten, and the juice is for the birds bath water to stop their itching when they molt.

I always use gel- don't know why! I guess it is a little thicker, and my perception is it "sticks" better? I mix with with about 1/3 distilled water. I also don't make much at a time, because I don't want to put refridgerated stuff on an itchy bird (I know some birds LIKE cold baths though!) and I don't like to think of having goop growing in the mix! BTW- the open bottle of aloe gel does stay in the fridge, I mix it was the distilled water heated up so its lukewarm and then spray.
Hope that helps!
