i just got a pomegranate fruit for myself and i wanted to share some with my quaker and blue streaked lory but i wanted to make sure it was safe first for them to eat it.
so my question is: is it ok to give my parrots pomegranate seeds?
Joanne's Animal Kingdom
yes they are safe just be prepared for them and the surfaces around them to look like they are straight from a horror flick. QP's are not known to be neat eaters and the juice gets everywhere and usually stains their feathers a bit. Juat need to remember that so you don't walk in the room and try and figure out where the "blood" is coming from. LOL

Joanne beat me to it...Yes, they can have them...and as Joanne said...Expect them to look like they've been in some kind of major battle...

I know my cockatoo's would love them but they'd be pretty pink for a while if I gave them any. biggrin.gif

Enjoy your pomegranite...
