hello,
I got my first 8 week old qp this past week. name chloe.I love her already.Im still hand feeding her and the owner had her on seeds. Im trying to mix pellets w seeds and hand feeding in the am and pm. Im not real sure on how to teach her to step up. Im need lots of info. w her.
Im a single mom of a 16 year old son in high school. Im a very hands on mom.Im stay at home mom due to sickness of a stroke 5 years ago at 37. Im doing lots lots better.I have a 5 pound poodle name lillie.I live in North Carloina.
Im excited to met qp parents and hear all the joys of having a qp.Talk soon,Tanya

Welcome to the group...You will love your little fid (feathered kid) she will have you wrapped around her little wings in no time..

Check out all the forums and don`t be shy jump right in and join the fun ...post some photo`s and there is also a forum for non feathered critters so you can share piccys and stories of your little Lillie too..

Hello, I"m from NC also. (Newbern) My very first parrot was a quarker Parrot. Just like Majj said I was wraped around his little wings in to time. LOL Still am for that matter. I Love Love Love my little guy. Ohhhh and look out it's very hard to have just one. Can you post pictures? I love babie pictures. Where are you in NC?

Ohhh we are about 6hrs from you. Good luck with getting her on pellets. it's a good time and try to get her use to them instead of an all seed diet. Keep us posted on her.

OK all you Tar Heels, have to speak up for the Palmetto State. Down here in Rock Hill we are almost in NC, in fact Charlotte is a suburb of Rock Hill. But NC is a great state. Love New Bern (used to have an old house in Oriental -- should have held on to it), and a little old farm house in Todd (the other side of the state). Visiting Blowing Rock is an annual event that can't be missed, and, of course Asheville -- a super town. Will be at Asheville's Downtown Loft for Thanksgiving. So we are most fortunate to have such a grand contingent from the North state. One of these days I will tell you how the Civil War South Carolinians said that North Carolina got the nickname, "tar hell state".
Please make that "tar heel." And no Freudian interpretations.
