Hey Everybody,
I was recently told that I could give small amounts of cooked egg with the shell on occasion. Does anybody else have any input on this? I trust the person that told me, but I figured more than one opinion couldn't hurt. Thanks for the input.

since i am new to Quakers I am not sure. But I do know that They are great for chickens! LOL They are a great source of protein and calcium(with Shells) I would Imagine it would hold the same benifit for QP's, but once again I am unsure . I am certain some one with knowledge will let us know. biggrin.gif

Yeah - it's great for chickens, especially baby chickens.
I was reading the "Parrot Diet & Health" forum, and yes,
they can eat cooked eggs, obviously not in huge quantities, but I'm
sure that they would enjoy them occasionally, be careful with the shell,
they should be fine with it, just make sure that you supervise
them when they eat it happy.gif

Mine get a hard-boiled egg treat once a week. If you're going to give them any of the shell, use organic eggs.

Sammy loves scrambled eggs! I will have to try a hard boiled egg soon.
