We have been practicing our "step ups" all day today and and he is getting SO MUCH BETTER but every time I set him back on his perch after a step up practice time he wags his tail like 3 times in a row.
it is so cute but is it always a sign of happiness?

and most of the time while he is on his perch he just wags and wags his tail.

Heres a photo for fun smile.gif

Cute ...wagging can be a sign of illness if its up and down with laboured breathing but side to side is just so darn cute... smile.gif

As far as I know tail wagging (not tail bobbing) is a happiness behavior...smile.gif

Clyde usually does the tail wagging when he's particularly pleased with himself and life in general, if that helps.

It does help smile.gif
Maybe my baby is tail wagging because he is pleased with being able to finally figure out mommy wants him to step up nicely and not fly away! hhahaa

A wag from side to side is a very happy green chicken. biggrin.gif
