So it wasn't until I changed Mojo's cage did I realize that she had pooped all over the walls. She favored her red and orange pellets this time around.
What is the best way to get poop stains off of white walls?

Magic Erasers are great for every stain , you can also use vinigar water and a bit of orange oil...

You could go "designer crazy" and maybe just paint a feature wall behind her cage so it's not white.... don't get me wrong, there will still be a lot of elbow grease but at least it won't show up as much. You could match it to her favourite pellets!

if you paint behind her cage use a high gloss paint , its comes right off that !!! that matt pain just seems to absorb EVERYTHING! i cant wait to redo my walls !!!

Tell the neighbors it's original art and VERY expensive because the artist doesn't sell his work to just ANYONE.

A nice faux paint finish will hide all of that!! I usually spray the wall with a hot soapy water mix and leave it for 5 or 10 minutes and then wipe. Most of it comes off that way and then you just need a little elbow grease for the rest.

The wall behind Joey's cage is ALWAYS full of poop. He like to project his poop onto the walls instead of going in his cage. I have no idea why, but he has done it for his entire 5 years of life! I still don't have a simple solution to getting it off. You would think that steam would melt it off, but nooo! lol If you find a simple solution, let me know.

LOl @ the pellet choice. Mr P leaves all the ones shaped like bananas in his dish. Which is odd because I don't like bananas either.

I don't have any solutions on cleaning off the wall but what about hanging something on the wall that can be removed and either washed or replaced like a sheet or poster board or maybe a large sheet of linoleum?

I have plastic behind my cages, the kind you use for painting. Doesn't look so pretty but it works so very well.......

I put a plastic liner on the wall for future poop stains, I learned my lesson. I tried cleaning it without any luck. So right now it is just being cover.
I need to figure something by mid next year because I'm going to be moving to another apartment complex.
Oh Mojo, you HAVE to bring the creative side out of me...dont you?

The Magic Erasers are great for removing it off the walls. As a preventative measure I use the clear plastic that they sell in the Walmart sewing/cloth area to hang on the wall behind the cage. Its not very noticeable. You can get it in various thicknesses too. Just be sure if you do use plastic that your bird cannot reach it to chew. My birds will chew up anything & everything that they can reach with either their beak or their feet!!! Little smarty feathers! lol

In the same vein as this thread, does anyone else notice a difference between their birds' messiness? Herbie never poops on the wall, there isn't any on his cage bars, he's a pretty neat bird. Punkin, on the other hand, shoots in on the floor, on the wall, on the bars of her cage, pretty much anywhere she can aim it.

Seeley hits the wall everytime!! I use warm water and a Magic Eraser.
I put a good size piece of his favorite blankie in his cage for him to cuddle in (about 18" by 18") and he will not mess that up.

I usually just use the same vinegar and water solution I use for cleaning cages. Like Quincy's Slave I let it soak, that helps. But as a renter right now, I can pretty much assume I will need to either paint or have painted a couple of walls before I get a damage deposit back. LOL It's not really that bad.
Here's what I plan on doing. You can get several different fabrics in cool jungle motifs at a fabric store. Sew in some button holes on the fabric, put a couple of hooks in the wall behind the cage hang the "background" and simply remove when dirty and chuck it in the laundry. Okay maybe not the jungle print....whatever.
