My QP isn't taking to his rice pellets...he only eats his seeds.I've been putting seed and pellet into his dish and slowly putting more and more pellet, but he will NOT eat it.

Any advice on how to get him to eat his pellets? How did u get yours to eat pellets?
Jolene
I got mine to eat pellets (Harrisons) by adding some water to it and putting it in his cage. He eventually came around to trying it and loves it now. He still prefers it mushy but will eat it dry. These are the only pellets though that he will eat... would not go near any others. (I did not try roudybush though, as they would not send samples.)

Have you tried the conversion method pinned at the top of this forum? What kind of pellets are you offering now? you may have to try more than one...

I had to eat them with Verde! tongue.gif You can also try flavoring them with something.
A little juice maybe? Any else have any suggestions?

There are three good methods right there. Moistening them works, but you still have to wean to dry. Adding juice works, but there is lots of sugar and you have to wean to dry. Best is to follow the method pinned. It's worked for me from Parrotlet to Grey. And it only takes one weaning.
