Well I promised I would post some pics of my CAG Cagney and he gave me the perfect opportunity this afternoon when he took a bath! I have not gotten him to take a proper bath since I've had him, I have been trying everything to get him to have a bath and today when I offered him a dish he hopped right in (after a little sweet talking):

His feathers were really quite dirty and dull when he came to me. He has refused to bathe since he's been here except in his teenie little water dish, and I've resorted to locking him in his cage and spraying him down a few times because he is just filthy looking. I'm sure he feels MUCH better, the water was filthy and I changed it twice. As you can see he still chews his feathers a little but his plucking has gotten much better. I am also amazed at the color change of his tail feathers since I have been feeding him the pellet mash with red palm oil.

Here are a few pics of how he looked when I got him, they are not great but you get an idea anyway:

Greys are such beautiful birds and he looks so happy and healthy now!

There IS hope!! LOL Kiko hates her bath - I think she's had more baths in the five days I've had her than in the five years her previous owner did. Cagney is beautiful!

Glowbird, he was given to me by a client at work. Her granddaughter moved in and was allergic, so he had been banished to a basement storage room for about a year before I got him. He has some behavioral issues that we are working on, but overall he is a really good bird smile.gif Talks up a storm!!
