Lily acts like me touching her is the end of the world!
She will sit peacefully on my finger but as soon as I touch her she gets all stressed.

I picked her over the siblings because she let me pet her, rub her.. ect
but now she's the opposite it's like I have a different bird ohmy.gif

How are some ways I could let her know that me touching her won't harm her?
I mean, she will let me do it but you can tell that she prefers I just let her sit on my hand hhaha.

Does she have lots of pin feathers? Those are sore at first and they don't want them touched. Clyde loves to be petted, but it has to be on his terms. Sometimes he wants his forehead stroked, sometimes his cheeks, sometimes his back, and if I pet the wrong thing, he pulls away and squawks and nips. Maybe you just haven't found out what she likes yet.

Maybe some fids are just non touchy...My sunny hates hands but will dive down my front for snuggles ..Buddy doesn`t care about hands you can just bodily pick him up and smooch him all over...
Maybe Siobhan is onto something with pin feathers growing in that can make them grumpy..??

Cacophony
Out of curiousity, how old is she? There seems to be a repetitive theme about cranky teenage quakers... if she's not molting, maybe it's her hormones?

How long have you had her? She needs to gain trust in you.....

That is what I was thinking but she doesn't have any pin feathers growing in, that I can see yet.
It's funny because once I posted about it, now she is letting me touch her fine!
go figure hahaa.
