I am heartbroken to have to part with these beautiful healthy smart friendly babies. We are Moving and have decided to scale down to a smaller home and need to keep this one clean for showings (just honest-birds can be messy). I really want someone who will be willing to let them out everyday. I would prefer them going together but may separate to the right family. They were vet checked for psittacosis and have a clean bill of health. I do not know if they are male or female but call them the 'boys'. Tattoo is more vocal than Ozzie and has some 'squawk time' each afternoon but does stop when you tell him or give him a little attention . Ozzie is more of a chicken but will follow his brother/sister into the birth bath or trying new things. Tattoo seems smarter and more independent, but Ozzie is more passive but a little more clingy. Anotherwords, one is a 'Green Dragon' and one is a 'Green Chicken', but they can both be 'velcro' birdies and at times they wont stay on their tree and just want to be on mommie.
Please PM me with your phone number so I can see if your home is a match. I was just getting ready to buy a 'proper cage for them as mine is not the appropriate size, especially for 2. So you will need to purchase a cage. I am charging a small adoption fee. I would like someone who would be willing to give me an update on their progress and maybe a pic or 2. I am willing to meet you at an agreed location. NO BREEDERS. These birds are pets.

Do you just need someone to keep them while you are showing the house and until you get settled?? If you are staying in the
Chicago area I can take them while your house is on the market and return them when you have settled into your new place. I am in the Western burbs of Chicago and I already have a few empty cages in the basement that can be dusted off.

Oh how sweet and thank you for offering. That is sooo tempting. But honestly, I would have to give them up completely. As much as I love them, I really cannot keep them.
They really need someone who has the time to spend with them everyday. They are very friendly and love to be with me and will hardly stay on their tree. Even though their wings are clippped they continue to fly toward the kitchen to get me. (I may not cut enough flight feathers). So they need alot of one on one.

Are these two birds sibilings from the same clutch?
I'm sure you'll find someone near you that will make a great home. But at least you know you have an option with Joanne if you don't find them a home before you move.

I am not sure if they are from the same clutch. There was a rescue in Chicago of a colony. 25 birds were rescued. The 2 I got were more feathered than the others I am thinking they probably were/are siblings. If someone only could take one that would be ok also as I am sure they would bond with the new owner. Joannes offer is awsome, but it could take time to sell in this market, and by then I would feel like I was over my grief. Besides my next house will be too small. We may also have my 2 yr old granddaughter living with us and birdies sqwauking is not condusive to naps.

I am surprised I have only had one response. I know the message gets pushed down to the bottom. So I am asking again if anyone might be interested. Thanks

The messages will still appear for someone who hasn't seen it yet.
Hopefully, you've found a home for them already. Can you give us an update?
