I read around that buttons sewn on a shirt make for a lot of fun, since I don't want Lily to think she can be on my shoulder all the time - I attached some buttons to a dish towel (one she couldn't get hung on) and she is in love haha. I haven't quite finished putting all the buttons on yet because I wanted to test it first, but I set it on the bed next to me when I'm on the computer and it keeps her attention for a while smile.gif

She also has one that sits on the back of the recliner for when I watch T.V and she gets bored of sitting on her perch of my hands.

Plus, their washable! easy poop cleanup smile.gif haha

Great idea. I think I need something on my chair to distract Frost while I'm writing. I was thinking of ordering some bigger buttons for my BCC Virgil. There are some cool ones on this site.

That button towel is a great idea. Not to be a wise guy or anything, but I was thinking of doing the same sort of thing but haven't got around to it yet. How old is your Lily? My Chula is just a touch over 4 months old and she could be Lily's twin. Funny thing is, I looked at your profile and saw your post about Lily's cage. Chula has the same exact cage. It's really a nice size and I love the doors. It was a bit of a pain to get put together by myself, but that's what I get for doing it on my own, late at night instead of waiting to have my wife help me.

How weird! Lily will be 12 weeks old tomorrow.
The cage is awesome, I agree. We loves the doors as well, her favorite is probably the "perch door" at the top of the cage that folds down. I didn't have the problem of putting it together, it arrived while I was at work and my boyfriend surprised me with it all put together, toys, bird and everything inside smile.gif but I can imagine there were a lot of choice words said during the process! haha

That's to funny. Chula is also very happy with the drop down door, and she has the same exact blue teddy bear toy in about the same location. I swearthat if I didn't know better, that could be pictures of Chula. hahaha

They really do appear to be clones, right down to the head shaking "no" (which it seems many do). I was about ready to ask if yours came from Michigan like mine did, but it sounds like you got yours locally and I think Chula's hatchday was earlier than Lily's so I guess they are not fro the same clutch. We have a bunch of photos, but to tell the truth, we are having so much fun with her, we don't seem to get around to uploading them off of the cameras. Lazy parronts. hehehehe What photos we have uploaded are in the online album on this site, but they are labelled as Chulo Verde photos from before the DNA results. Now I wish I could change the name of the album. Oh well.

If you ever decide to make extras to sell let me know! I know it can't be too difficult to do but I never seem to have the time for projects like that. I still have two scarves to knit for Bryan's niece and nephew by Christmas....who knows if I'll ever even get that done.

I love the button towel. I decided to make my own and it's slowly becoming more and more popular with our baby. Thanks for the great idea!
