Finished! I've been wanting to put instructions up, but I don't want to make another one just to take pictures of, so I did it on "Paint". I hope you guys understand them. Post pics if you decide to make one!

I just used regular cheap yarn from WalMart.
I used Stainless Steel wire and half inch cotton rope, but you could use and size of rope you wanted.

Your technical schematics are GENIUS! That made my morning... and yes, they made perfect sense!
Do you ever find that birdie toes get caught in the yarn?

KeeWee has never got his toes caught at all. I would be a little leary though of Budgies or cockatiels because of how small their toes are. Thanks for the comment about my instructions. They only took me 20 minutes on Paint. Are you planning on making one???

Your instructions are fantastic, but I am one of those people that never seems to have the time to take on a project like this. Either that, or I need that instant gratification of just buying one. Problem is, boings can be hard to find. My wife sent me this link to look at some bird toys, and I noticed that they have boings. They seem to be "out of stock" on many of them, but if you keep searching, you can find them in a different color, and in the proper size. For anyone like me that just wants to order one, here's the link;

As soon as I can find stainless steel wire of a high enough gauge and cotton rope! =) I've only had Kiko for a week and while my adoption request was processing the society I got her from was debating between introducing me to her or a little austral conure with some nerve damage in her feet - she wouldn't have been safe on a boing. Needless to say I'd held off while I waited to see who'd come home with me and now I'm looking for a local supplier for the stuff I need.

Our boing arrived today (really fast shipping). Chula hasn't really hasn't had much time with it, but at least she is not afraid of it. I'll have to get some pics.
