Petri has this little cat ball with a bell in it that he absolutely ADORES! He will run around and play with this things for hours on end, kicking it and chasing after it, squaking at it, and shaking it around. Of all the expensive toys he has, this 40 cent little ball is his favorite. Isn't that ironic?

What's your little guy's FAVORITE toy??? What does he/she do with it? biggrin.gif
owned by racal
me! racals favorite toy is me and a hanging toy he has had since i got him i amafraid to take it out he chsed me on the couch once and bit my leg when I took it out once
Quincy's Slave
Quincy's is a plain cardboard tube that's about 7" long by about 4" high. It's just big enough for him to fit in. He spends hours in there practicing his talking, singing and a bunch of silly sounds. I guess he must like the acoustics.
Siobhan
Clyde's is me, the Automatic Petting Machine and Animated Perch. laugh.gif When he's in his cage and cannot access me, he's very fond of his "snuggle buddy," as Hubby calls it, actually a Cozy Corner. He naps against it, leans on it to preen, beats it up, unties the strings that hold it on the cage, chews on it ... I hung his second favorite toy close enough to the snuggle buddy that he can play with the toy while snuggling his buddy at the same time. Parrot bliss. tongue.gif

Jade's is a bell. Any bell, really, but she has one particular favorite inside her cage and a different one outside her cage. She holds it in one foot and rings it and squawks (she wants to be a Town Crier when she grows up, and I haven't the heart to tell her those have gone out of style), she bangs it on the bars, she gets mad at it. She also has her construction project that never ends, where she takes string and rope and plastic chain and winds them in ever-changing patterns around her boing.
Lisa Barnes
Milo like wooden skewers. The kind you put meat on. He builds with them alll day. biggrin.gif

Yoda likes strings and ropes. Rope toys with beads or blocks on them are fun too. He also likes to bite through my hairties, then when he has made it into a long string and it's not a circle anymore, I tie them to the cage and he likes to bite at them.

But his favorite toy is a circlular mirror with a bell on the end. He hangs from it, looks at it, beats it up, makes it fall down...he loves the thing.

However, like Rascal, I am Yoda's favorite plaything. He loves to bite me, and my laptop keyboard....

Maybe he had a butler in a previous life? laugh.gif

Herbie's favorite is actually a toy that he broke. It was a 'sunflower mirror' with a plastic 'sunflower' on each side. Well, he pulled the sunflower part off the mirror so it now hangs from a long string, and he loves to thread it through the bars, and pull it back out....and threads it back again.
Punkin's favorite is a toy with the bell at the end, she likes to make the bell ring. smile.gif

Well Sunnys is Box`s ...I give him the soft drink cartons they last a few days he eventually distroys them but has so much fun I took a video clip today of him with it on top of the bird stand in the family room but I was also laying on the floor with him roo he loves that plus his plastic rings , he takes them off the stand and throws them around the room... smile.gif too cute..

So far Kiko's favourite seems to be a handful of ponybeads knotted onto a shoelace. She will gnaw at the lace between the beeds until it's all fluffy looking and eventually she'll cut the beads off one at a time. We're working on one shoelace a week so far. (Talk about kids at Christmas, huh... rolleyes.gif ). From what I can tell so far she was never offered building material or many toys so she doesn't seem to know what to DO with any of them and when I try to show her how to play with them she just looks at me like I've gone over the deep end. I figure we'll work on getting her at least tolerant of her bathing before we move on to acting like a real quaker. When she was given up to the rescue society they sent her along with an entire box of macaw toys. I guess the family figured she couldn't wreck them that way and they wouldn't have to buy new ones. dry.gif

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can encourage her to nest build? We're fighting plucking (she ripped out a couple of neck feathers yesterday when she got over excited... *grrrrrr*)

ROTFL! Squeaky LOVEs to lift up the silicone cover on my keyboard, get under it and remove keys one at a time. This is a macbook, that gets EXPENSIVE because he generally breaks them in half. I don't let him do it on purpose, but if I forget to close the laptop and go pee or something- he will go to it even from his room and I come back- no bird there to be seen but key parts all over the table. Like, I don't even know how he gets the TIME to remove a dozen keys and shread them in under 2 minutes? Second to that, he likes chewing on my glasses or preening my hair.

Shya loves this parrot sized bell. I mean, it is BIG- about half the size of my closed fist. She bangs clangs, pecks at it, jumps around it, uses it as a mirror (ss), a swing- you name it- hours of activity in about the plainest toy around. When she is done, she perches under it and wears it like a hat and veil- her head goes right up in it- and goes for a snooze! I guess its dark??

The keets like anything that is preenable. This includes curtains, clothing, hair and the ancient poodle (who either doesn't notice while snoozing under my feet that there are 2 little birds grooming him or he likes it. He is 18 and doesn't move often nor quickly! All I know is he doesn't even open one eye until I talk to him and say, hey the birdies are loving you! just because i want to let him know they are there.).

Lily loves my hair ties too! I always keep them on my wrist and if I lay them down she will gnaw at it for ever, she hasn't chewed on through completely but I have a couple just barely held together haha.

I buy mine from here but I'm sure most bird stores would sell them.

Rescuefidsmommy-

WHERE do you get your macbook fixed when they take off the keys? Yoda has removed and broken three keys now! I was told they would have to replace the whole keyboard, and I can't be without my computer for a week! I need it for work! Does your apple store replace it?

My boyfriends PC keys just pop back in when Yoda takes them off....however, Apples have to be difficult.
