So, Dummy... as I'm currently referring to my boyfriend... has been slowly starting to gain Kiko's trust. If he doesn't use his hands and especially if he has food she's willing to step up for him and they've been going through his massive music collection together to see what she likes. Apparently her favourite at the moment is Romanian Techno. *blinks* And Portirican (OMG I butchered the spelling on that one... go phonetic! LOL) Rap.

He had a hoodie on talking to my son with his back to the cage and stepped back until his hood was in reach of one little horn coloured beak. Well, if Miss Thing didn't climb that hoodie like a monkey gym, march right up across the back of his shoulder and grab him by the scruff of the neck.... And I'd just warned him that he was standing too close to the cage. I got bit three times trying to get her off while he held his hands up to protect his head and she hid out in the actual hood. Thank goodness she was just out to prove a point and wasn't interested in drawing blood.

I think our Honeymoon Period is over. Anyone want the leftover champagne?

People need to realize that birds don't realize that the person under the hoodie is someone they know... lol Chances are she was attacking the big bad hoodie who had swallowed up your boyfriend. LOL...

Do you think there's hope for your boyfriend? Probably not...heheheheeh

Aren't we bad? If he's truly interested in making friends with the bird he's gonna have to pay attention to detail. And if you guys laugh or over react when she does stuff like that you've just encouraged her to do more.

No thanks on the left over champagne...with out the bubbles its not much good biggrin.gif wink.gif

I'm laughing now... at the time he had no clue as to what the heck had happened and was more interested in protecting himself. I managed to keep it to a fairly stern "KIKO... be a good bird! Come here." And she got a two minute time out in her cage with the door closed (I'm sure that's against the Parrot Geneva Convention somewhere in the fine print) and everyone else left the room. I'd like to say she seemed suitable chastised but I think she's still gloating over her successful conquest. Then we went right back to where we'd been with the exception of his distance from her cage.
